How to Verify Solar Lead Consent Documentation
Verify solar lead consent by inspecting the original inquiry event and disclosure, matching it to the record, and assessing whether it supports your intended seller, channel and technology. A supplier’s compliance label or a token column is not enough.
Request the underlying evidence
- Original opt-in timestamp with time zone and a stable record identifier.
- Source URL and the form or disclosure version shown at submission.
- Jornaya / LeadiD identifier, when included, plus authorized retrieval instructions.
- Recorded seller scope, purpose and communication channels.
- Documented IP field and relevant event context, handled securely.
- Screening time, duplicate policy and known revocation or suppression status.
Review records from your actual requested age and geographic slice. A polished example from unrelated inventory does not validate the file you are purchasing.
Reconcile the record to the event
Check that identifiers, source and timestamps describe the same submission. Investigate inconsistent time zones, import dates presented as opt-in dates, unavailable source pages and disclosures that cannot be retrieved. Record exceptions and decide what must be excluded before loading a calling queue.
Bear Fish’s aged-lead page describes the evidence fields and screening process. Confirm current delivery requirements in your quote; do not infer a universal legal guarantee from those fields.
Assess the proposed campaign separately
Consent documentation and pre-delivery screening are supporting evidence, not a blanket guarantee that a proposed campaign is legally compliant. Buyers must follow applicable federal and state calling, texting, consent and suppression requirements, including their own internal do-not-call requests. Review the actual consent language, seller scope, channel and technology with qualified counsel before outreach.
National and state DNC checks, internal opt-outs, reassigned-number handling, calling times and applicable technology-specific rules remain relevant. Documentation of a historical event cannot prove that nothing changed afterward. Establish an exception and escalation process before outreach.
Keep the audit trail usable
Restrict access to personal data, retain necessary evidence according to your applicable obligations and approved retention policy, and preserve record-to-event references through CRM imports. Do not publish unredacted consent records on marketing pages.
